December Goals
A rest. A reset. A something.
I often feel that I’m constantly running behind on what I do. I have goals that I feel like I never complete. Things like losing weight or finding a new job. Both are goals are things I want for myself and know I need but they feel like they’re almost unattainable.
As an author, who in turn is a small business owner, I have to be able to move through the funk and keep pushing forward. But the funk, or the depression, I’ve been feeling is really getting on my last nerve.
With this being the last month of the year, I’m really trying to find balance between finishing up what I had planned for this year, resting, holidays, and figuring out what I want to do for 2026.
This month, I’m not even breaking goals up into categories. It’s just goals.
Brainstorm for And She Hunts, the sequel to And She Runs
Outline the book
write 30,000 words
close my exercise ring on my Apple Watch every day
develop a better journaling habit
read more than two books
continue looking for new jobs
deep clean my house
donate some clothes that I won’t fit into any time soon
plan for 2026
But also I want to rest. Refill myself. I don’t know what that looks like, but I guess we’re going to find out. Whether you’re hitting the ground running to finish the year or taking it slow, I really hope this month is kind to us all and 2026 behaves herself.
