I can’t speak for everyone but man am I glad that June is over. There were fun moments but a lot of tough moments as I battled some depression. I’m hoping the worst of this instance is behind me and like I talked about yesterday, it’s time to get to work.
Life Recap
June was a blur, but there were some fun times. Like going to a Texas Stars hockey game in Cedar Park at the beginning of the month. The Stars lost in double overt-time but it was fun to finally get out there and watch a game.
Those seats are not plus-size friendly though and both of my knees were pretty bruised after.
I spent a night house sitting for some friends and then spent a week at my parents’ house, hanging out with two of my siblings, my parents, and the dogs. I went up there to celebrate my grandfather’s 95 birthday and decided to stay all week and work from there. It was the closest thing to a getaway vacation that I get each year, and I still worked through it.
Besides that, I spent most of the month in the pool or crying in frustration because depression is a bitch.
Writing Recap
I took the month off from writing, but I did some brainstorming for the series and printed out a copy of the book before I start the next round tomorrow.
Reading Recap
Reading was the one thing I did well last month because I didn’t have energy to do anything else. I read six books and listened to two audiobooks. I started a third audiobook and quit after five minutes cause I didn’t like the narrator. Whoops.
Everyone Who Can Forgive Me is Dead by Jenny Hollander
The Ghost Writer by Julie Clark
Wedding Dashers Heather McBeen
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (audiobook)
Late Bloomer by Mazey Eddings
Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 by Lisa Unger
Retreat by Krysten Ritter (audiobook)
Every Summer After by Carley Fortune (reread)
I’m ready to get back to work to writing for July and hitting the ground running but even looking forward, there are times to take a look back.
