November 2025 Goals
It's Scorpio Season
Quarter four is always my favorite part of the year, but I think November this year is my favorite. Yes, it’ll be my birthday in two weeks, but there’s always so much more happening this year.
Like a book coming out!
Goal One: Write, edit and publish the books
When it came to Quarter Four, I had some ambitious goals for my writing.
Go through reader feedback forAnd She RunsSpell check (aka, wrangle some commas) forAnd She RunsFormat And She Runs
upload And She Runs to Amazon Kindle
outline the sequel, tentatively titled And She Hunts
outline draft two of my stand-alone book, Lost in the Canyon
write the first draft of And She Hunts for NaNoWrimo
I’m almost done with formatting And She Runs, and then I’ll upload it to Kindle in the next day or two (I have until Thursday to get it done). While I want to do the sequel for NaNoWriMo/Novel November, I’ve done half a page of brainstorming, so we’re a little behind on that, whoops.
I have some days off this month, so I’m hoping once we get this book going, we can crash through cause that’s what a first draft is all about, being messy.
Goal Two: Grow the brand
This is one
promote this newsletter regularly
finalize the blurb (the back cover copy) for And She Runs
finish my website redo (it should be done in the next day or two)
RELEASE A BOOK.
I finished my website and the blurb but we’re still working on the other parts. The e-book is ready to go for release day, November 10th. I just need to get the paperback figured out on Amazon.
It’ll be out in five days when I write this and I can’t believe that we’re already here. I started the process of this book in February 2024, and it’s done. My pen name website will share more info about the book on Monday, so I’ll be sure to restack that when it’s out.
Goal Three: focus on life outside of the books
go on at least a one mile walk four times a week (I have an under-the-desk treadmill that I can use)
journal at least three times a week
drink more water
continue to look for a new job
write more posts here. I started this blog as a way to free-write and I’ve not done a lot of that. I’m hoping to get more
I did okay. I’m actually on the treadmill while I type this and I have been drinking more water. Now that the book is done, I can dedicate more time to looking for a new job. My current employer has done layoffs and changed my role in the last few months and I’m over it.
I’ve been stuck in the same role for seven years now and it’s just not fulfilling. As a writer, a creative, I want a role where I can exercise my creativity. Where I can use my skills I gained in college.
That’s part of why blog posts here haven’t been as regular as I’d want. I don’t want to emotionally bleed on the internet while looking for a job. That’s just not my style but there are so many things I want to write about, too.
The other part is that I have a tendency to self-filter a lot. And when I write more emotional posts, I think the self-filtering would take away from the message I want explore.
Maybe in the new year!
November is a big month for me, always is. Outside of the day-to-day, we have:
a book release, November 10th
my birthday, November 17th
I’m seeing an early screening of Wicked: For Good with one of my best friends on my birthday
Thanksgiving is this month, too
It finally feels like fall, too, and I’m just so ready to have a wonderful end to the year.
